Cause of Death
BharatAgri shut down operations due to a severe funding crunch during India's broader agritech funding slowdown. Despite building a user base of over 1 million farmers, the company struggled with unit economics, driven by high customer acquisition costs, low repeat order rates, and widening losses (rising to ₹22.04 crore against ₹5.37 crore operating revenue in FY24). Management was unable to close its next funding round to extend its runway.
