6over6 (6over6 Vision) was an Israeli digital healthcare and optometry tech startup that developed smartphone-based vision testing technology and apps (such as GlassesOn) to measure eyeglass prescriptions and pupillary distance directly from standard mobile devices.
Cause of Death
Parent company 1-800 Contacts (which acquired 6over6 in 2019 for $100M) decided to shutter its Israeli subsidiary operations and lay off all 60 employees in June 2025 as part of an operational restructuring.
