The Skybox Security Platform was an enterprise cybersecurity management solution specializing in Network Security Policy Management (NSPM), vulnerability discovery, risk-based prioritization, attack surface modeling, and firewall management across hybrid, cloud, and OT environments.
Cause of Death
Skybox Security filed for insolvency and shut down operations abruptly following mounting debts, operational stagnation, and an inability to maintain financial viability despite raising over $330 million in venture funding. On February 24, 2025, the company laid off all ~300 employees without paying final salary checks and ceased operations immediately. Competitor Tufin acquired a limited portion of Skybox's technology and business assets to transition existing customers.
